Morty is building Strava for nerd culture, starting with the escape room community.
We are a founders-led, privately held company funded by General Catalyst, ANIMO Ventures, and other world-class investors ($1.1M pre-seed Q3 2020).
Our gamified online network lets enthusiasts of nerd culture experiences connect, plan, and track adventures to the weirdest and coolest nerd culture experiences across the real world and metaverse.
Our vision is to become the de facto app to discover and experience the coolest things to do in the real world and metaverse with friends, family, and other great folks, and to become a scavenger hunt that wraps around your life.
As the world becomes a more isolated place, Morty will reduce collective loneliness, ride the explosive growth of new formats of leisure activities, and reinvent the protocol of social outings.
New technologies have allowed creatives to build Imagineering-caliber attractions. As a result the theme park is being "unbundled" by independent businesses all over the world.
Yet these distributed experiences are still hard to find and to understand, and booking them is not always ideal.
The world will be a smarter and more cooperative place when these new, immersive formats of entertainment are more accessible.
We believe in customer obsession, hard work, attention to detail, moving fast, humility, and embracing a little weirdness.
Morty is looking for its first PM.
